Doors!

A small but important update today. I added doors! For now they open automatically when the player is near, and only in one direction which is fine. I might leave it that way so the player knows which rooms they have visited. I’ve also started adding more detail to the main hall. A railing, accents on the ceilings, and bricks surrounding the main pillars. It’s a lot of small details but it adds more life into the limited area.

I also added a big boss door to the “lecture hall.” It currently opens both ways, but I want it to lock behind the player eventually so they can’t just run out/away from the boss. Once I finish the details then I’ll start getting back to gameplay mechanics, specifically the lantern. I’m not sure what I want it to do yet, but I set up the space first so I can try and come up with ideas of what it might possibly do. The possibilities are endless!
