First floor complete

Today I finished up the final three or four rooms of the first floor. After that I did a whole run as the character and checked each room if everything looked nice or if anything was out of place. Only a few rooms didn’t look great, but overall I put a lot of thought into most of the rooms. I figured out how to import images so I can put them in picture frames. A lot of the earlier rooms’ walls did look a bit empty, maybe one day I’ll go back and populate them with more art, but for now I’ll leave it be. I searched online for free paintings I could download so I wouldn’t have any issues there.

As I promised myself I will start on the combat updates tomorrow. I’ll be doing a lot of research on AI and implementing combat with life, gameover, and getting hit overall. I’m sure it’s going to blow my mind. But once I have been able to put combat into the game, all of the features that I want should be there. Next will be all about refining and perfecting it. This next step will be the biggest one I’ve taken so far and it’s exhilarating.

For now I will appreciate and think about the type of rooms I’ve finished and the professors who supposedly own it. Each professor has a specialty that can help a person hunt down their target, even the one who specializes in antiques may have important clues. There’s lots in my head bouncing around about what to write, but right now that isn’t vital. The fight is on.
