Squashing bugs and adding stuffs

Went around and completed several things today. Finished the last of the series from Unreal on animation. Not a lot of useful stuff near the end, more of reiterations or techniques that are very specific to certain animations or models. I edited the attacks to give more forward motion to the character using variable curves, and I made sure the run and walk animations matched the model better. I took one of the free swords from the marketplace and edited it slightly in Blender. As I expected it took awhile for me to remember how to 3D model. I still can’t remember it all. At least I was able to add a better looking sword.

I quickly learned some basics of UI so I could add a new crosshair, bought a new pack off the market. I’ll be cycling through them so I can find one that I think fits perfectly. It was simple enough to add a crosshair, I’ll continues the series eventually when I finish up the character’s mechanics. Improvement to the UI design is also much later down the line, such as the health bars. I encountered a huge bug where I could suddenly walk through the doors of all the rooms. Thanks to google it was suggested I check the collision of the door, and for some reason it did not have any simple collision. There must have been an issue transferring the project from 4.25 to 4.26. Anyway I hope there’s no more problems with that. Solved an issue as well with the player’s animations being stuck in the walking animation even when not moving. It had to do with the hanging mechanic, but I made sure if you’re on the ground you can’t hang anymore.

Besides all that I still have an issue with the melee weapon not hitting the boss sometimes, but only sometimes. I gotta start taking notes of bugs I should address/fix.
