August Update

On the last day of August my Steam page was approved. With it I finally released the gameplay trailer showing one year of progress. You can find the video here. As for the Steam page you can see it here.

It was very exciting to finally see all these up and it was also motivating. There is so much more work to do!

I changed the collision box for one of the barrels because it had too many edges and it caused some weird glitches when walking next to it. For the boss I added a bunch more attacks and I expanded its functions to prepare for future updates. There’s still more animations I need to get for this crazy boss. I also added a camera to the stage that acts in the same way the other stages do.

While testing the boss I found that it was a bit too easy to kite (run away) them. The best remedy I found for this was to make her sword even longer. I made it a ridiculous length but it is fine. Now it is even scarier. I made sure the attacks registered properly because some of them were missing entirely. After several fights it is safe to say that this boss will be the toughest so far. And I think that’s my goal, to always make the engagements harder and harder.

I will continue to work on the boss. She is far from finished. And that is a good thing because there is so much more room for improvement and updates that I will add to her and the game itself. There is a lot to look forward to.
