I have still yet to land on the foundation of the backstory for the level. Blocking things out with rough shapes only really works if I know I will replace them with custom or specific models. Since I don’t have a solid idea yet that leaves a lot of things up in the air. I am looking through the assets I have and seeing what I want to use. There are some buildings that are giving me ideas.
I placed random things in the level to see if something jumps out at me. Since this is the final level I am not going to rush into anything. I have the boss figured out and some of the mechanics, but the setting is my current conundrum.
There’s a lot to consider from scale, flow, pacing, puzzles, and lore.
