Difficulty adjusted

The special attack for the boss was a bit too repetitive so I went back to the vfx and added three more. They went well with the fight and it looks a lot more interesting visually. Every time I beat the boss I tweak her slightly to make her a little bit harder. I adjust her damage, the range at which she attacks, the speed. It has been fun to fight her again and again.

I took a short break from the boss fight to improve the image of the buttons. I went back to simplifying it by making simple shapes instead of the bad drawings I had for the button and the background as well. The new images look a lot better than the old ones I was using.

To make the boss even harder I make her aggressively attack the player if they were healing. I was able to use a variable on the player that would tell the boss if the player was trying to heal. It won’t always attack this way, at least the player may have a small chance of being able to heal.

The fight itself is a frantic mess of dodging and getting whatever hits the player can get in. I think I have set a good challenge due to the fact that the player isn’t limited by stamina. Instead, the player has to be able to react fast to get out of the way and find a good time to hit the boss.

I think I am truly done with the boss at the point and the stage. What I have left is to add the voice lines then I can figure out what my next step will be.
