Outside the game, I’ve been doing research in preparing for publishing a game with Unreal Engine. I added credits to Unreal in the final credits for the game. Besides that, I will need to submit a form before I officially release the game
I added one final achievement because I wanted to give props to the people who completed the game in Haunter Mode. I purposely stayed away from the standard difficulty names such as “Easy” or “Normal.” I myself am not a big fan of difficulty settings because the scaling is not usually balanced. Games by Super Giant have a great approach where they let the player themselves decide the challenge by having different modifiers affect the game. I don’t want to spend the time to implement something like that though.

At this point, I am having fun adding smaller details to the game. I updated the Save Slots to reflect more of the player’s save stage. It will show the mode the player is under and it will change color based on the stage that the player is at. I also added an alternate voice line that adds more to the story.
I hadn’t included the HAUNT logo anywhere in the game so I put a decal of it in the first level. It is a bit hidden and the entire thing can be hard to see without jumping. The tutorial is probably one of the parts that have gone through the most changes, and it will probably continue to be improved up until the game’s release. I made it clear that that whip cannot be held down and released. The holding of the input will just cause the action of grab and throw.

The testing continues, as I try to break more parts of my game And I will try to record more interesting gameplay footage for an updated gameplay trailer.
