Started off with more testing as usual. Went through the game with all the abilities unlocked to see what other bugs I could find. I did find one that was quite clear but not game-breaking. The character somehow skipped the death animation when dying, but the player could still continue.
Jumping up in high places shouldn’t be too big of an issue. The first boss may be annoyed but it doesn’t do anything but give the player some space to breathe and think about his life decisions. In the fourth stage, the player can make themselves a flag. That’s fun.

I improved some of the audio and visual effects in the fifth stage. It should improve conveying specific messages and ideas to the player that will help them figure out what’s going on. In the main menu, I added a button to watch the credits. I also finally fixed an issue I was having with my custom buttons wherein the focus would disappear while navigating. It had something to do with the focus path which I don’t totally understand but on one of the focus events, I make sure the button is highlighted. Worked like a charm.

I’ve been searching for tips on how to market for my indie game. I haven’t been that active with posting to sites like Reddit so I’m going to try and do that more. I will also try to put a mailing list together of people who may be interested in playing the game once it is out. Even if I may finish my development for the game soon, that doesn’t mean my work will be done.
