Bloody Oops

Made an adjustment to the save slot text to not include the colon (now a hyphen) if the save slot is empty. There was a glitch with the projectile as it could activate boss triggers. I changed the objects it can overlap and collide with.

In the final level, there was a visual glitch when turning the camera towards the ground. I thought I had fixed this by clamping the max angle but at a certain height, it still happened. During this process, I deleted a plane that I thought I had forgotten to remove. It turns out that the plane was there to keep the camera from looking beneath the level. First I was able to fix the visual issue by slightly rotating the “blood” pool. The glitch may be due to several objects sharing the same space and fighting over what needs to be “drawn” to the screen.

I quickly added better effects on one of the boss’ attacks if it hits the player. Then I had to figure out a way to fix a problem I had solved before with the camera getting a sneak peek below the level. This goes to show that I should leave comments on my objects or perhaps name them something very specific such as “Camera Blocking Volume.” I used my old solution and added another plane that is visible this time around so it extends into the horizon of the level. It is an improvement at least.
