Oh wow, where to start?
I started off this week by announcing my partnership with Outersloth. It’s a dream come true honestly, and is another massive step to finishing the game.
Not many of my plans for the game as a whole have changed after receiving their help. I knew from the beginning what I wanted and what I was capable of. I also know that if I want to finish this game in time I have to stick to my goals and not make any crazy new ones.
It’s still hard for me to believe I was able to get this opportunity and it feels great to wake up every day and work on the game without worry (well mostly without worry).
This week I spent many hours fixing bugs and optimizing. For a game that looks like mine, it should not have any hitches. A lot of the problems are certainly from my poor “coding” skills. Now I am merely looking for where the fps drops and doing my best to remove the issue.
Several objects were affecting enemy navigation and they weren’t supposed to. So I turned all of them off. The benefit of a “small” game is that it’s easy to sift through problems quickly.
I wouldn’t want to spoil what I’m working on now, but I am very excited and I hope people enjoy this game as much as I enjoy working on it.
