Tracking

After some research (playing games) and reading reviews on steam. I've realized how irritating it can be when enemies can easily track your position. This means that even when they attack they are rotating to follow you. I tried to actually stay away from that before but I couldn't figure out a way to implementContinue reading "Tracking"

Sizes and settings

Finished filling out my information for steam. Now I have to wait a few days to see if they will approve me and then I should be able to finally create a steam page. While waiting I updated the thumbnail to the trailer I have yet to release. Hopefully Steam gets back to me beforeContinue reading "Sizes and settings"

Pre-trailer

Not much to write about today because I spent most of the time recording footage for the trailer. I could probably spend more time on it trying to get the perfect clips but for the same of my time I went with a more "honest" video. I used the song I have for the bossContinue reading "Pre-trailer"

A bunch of different things

Added the official logo to the starting menu. Took more screenshots that were properly sized. I will save them for the steam page. While taking screenshots and recording gifs I found that there was a problem with one of the bosses. The player's model was being lifted up from it somehow. I fixed it byContinue reading "A bunch of different things"

Steam and art

I got the cover art over the weekend and it looks amazing. Today I started the process of opening a steam page, and I forgot there was a fee to pay. After the fee there are is tax information I have to fix, but I haven't seen it yet because I am still gonna payContinue reading "Steam and art"

Arsenal

Started laying out the space for the boss to move. That means putting down the navigational mess so she can know where to walk around. Tested it out and she moved well enough. Bumping barrels caused her to go airborne. I increased her mass and that seemed to fix it, but it may cause otherContinue reading "Arsenal"

The Captain

I was able to finish most of the mechanics around the stage and in the arena earlier than I thought I would. A lot of thinking ahead I did and I am quite proud of myself for making sure that a certain important object was always around because it is required during the boss fight.Continue reading "The Captain"

Notes and more

I have added a lot of items and objects that will help flesh out the story of the stage and the target the player is assigned to hunt down. There are a lot of objects that I wanted to interact with each other so I had to make sure they could affect each other. ItContinue reading "Notes and more"

Raining down

Got music from the composer I commissioned and he kindly sent me the separate tracks of the song. It's for the boss fights and I absolutely love it. With the different tracks I can mix it in different ways so I can lots of different tracks that are similar yet distinct. I will start doingContinue reading "Raining down"

Fire from the sky

Added more vegetation on all the buildings. Such small fine details maybe some people won't even notice! But I like it even if it doesn't always fit perfectly. After that I added traps all around the stage. It was tedious work but it had to be done to make going around quite annoying for theContinue reading "Fire from the sky"
